Cedar Fundraising Campaigns Support Service

Hiring a fundraising consultant to help with your next campaign

I am pleased to offer the Cedar Fundraising Campaigns (CFC) service to non-profit organizations that are looking for strategy and comprehensive implementation support for distinct fundraising campaigns. I’ll give a brief description here of what this service entails and my process. If you would like to book a free discovery call to learn more, click here.

For long-term fundraising support, see details for my Fractional Fundraiser service here.

Cedar Fundraising Campaigns service

This service is designed to support short-term fundraising projects such as program seed-funding, year-end/annual giving campaigns, giving day campaigns (ie. Giving Tuesday), peer-to-peer campaigns or crowdfunding.

To give some context, CFC contracts will typically last 2-3 months, with time for strategy/planning, asset development, implementation and evaluation.

I work on a retainer fee structure – there is a monthly rate with no minimum or maximum hours. All expectations, milestones and deliverables will be mapped out in the service agreement at the start of our time together.

2023 rates for CFC service: $2,500 - $5,500 CAD + GST per month, depending on the level of implementation support needed.

What to expect

If you want to learn more, the first step is to reach out and book a free discovery call. During this call we will discuss your project and what you would like to achieve in hiring a fundraising consultant.

If the CFC service is a good fit for your project, we will agree upon a start date. I will schedule our first strategy session and provide a detailed service agreement.

Discovery: At the beginning of our time together, I will facilitate a strategy session to learn more about the project and your team. We will discuss fundraising strategy and activities, as well as a timeline for achieving the objectives of the project.

Implementation: It is important to understand that throughout this process, I will be working WITH your team to implement all the strategies and plans we identify. I provide a great deal of value in my work, however there are some fundraising tasks that are simply more successful and/or provide better long-term value when completed by a staff member or leader within the organization (with my support).

I will work with your team to implement the plan we have developed. These activities can include things like:

✔️ Campaign project planning and management

✔️ Technology set-up including automations & database integrations

✔️ Prospect identification and segmentation

✔️ Key messaging development

✔️ Fundraising copywriting & asset development (copy only for: letters, emails, web copy)

During this phase, we will schedule check-in calls as needed.

Evaluation: At the end of our contact, I will prepare a short report detailing our work together with key metrics.

Long-term value of the Campaigns service

While this service is designed for short-term fundraising projects, my goal is always to design a campaign that will serve as a foundation for long-term success. This involves: developing workflows, systems and templates that can be replicated for future campaigns; creating a holistic communications plan that includes not only solicitation materials but nurtures new and existing relationships with messages of celebration and gratitude; and a detailed debriefing document providing an analysis of the project, and next-steps to improve for future campaigns.
